How Tradezlist collects, uses, and protects your information — in plain English.

Last updated: August 2026

Information you provide

When you create an account, set up your profile, post a listing, send an offer, message another trader, add a wishlist item, or submit a report, you give us the information contained in those actions. This includes your email address, your Tradezlist username and display name, your general area, an optional bio and trade interests, listing details and photos, offer and trade activity, messages, wishlist entries, and the contents of any report you send us.

Providing a phone number is optional. If you choose to add one, it is stored separately from your public profile and is not shown on your profile page.

Accounts and sign-in

You can sign up with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. Accounts and authentication are handled by our hosting and database provider, Supabase. When you sign in with Google, Google shares your basic account information (such as your email address) with us so we can create or match your Tradezlist account.

Sign-up and certain form submissions use Cloudflare Turnstile to help block automated abuse. Cloudflare receives limited technical information as part of that check.

What is public on Tradezlist

Your username, display name, general area, bio, trade interests, wishlist items, listings, and listing photos are visible to other people using Tradezlist. Your email address, phone number, and private messages are not shown publicly.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate Tradezlist: showing your listings to nearby traders, matching wishlist items to new listings, delivering offers and in-app messages, sending in-app notifications about your trade activity, and reviewing reports so we can keep the community safe. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Contact information during a trade

Your personal contact information stays private until both sides of a trade agree to move forward. Once both traders reach mutual acceptance, contact details are made available to the two people in that trade so you can arrange a meetup.

Photos

Listing photos you upload are stored in a private storage bucket and are served through Tradezlist rather than from a public file address. Please keep in mind that anything visible in a photo is visible to anyone browsing that listing.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember small preferences, such as your light or dark mode choice and whether you have seen the welcome message. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Reports and safety review

Red Flag reports and problem reports are reviewed privately by the Tradezlist team. We do not show the identity of a reporter to the person being reported.

Service providers

Tradezlist runs on Supabase for its database, authentication, and file storage, and on Lovable for application hosting. Cloudflare Turnstile is used for abuse prevention, and Google is used only if you choose to sign in with Google. These providers process data on our behalf so the service can function.

Your control over your information

You can edit your profile, listings, and wishlist items at any time, and you can remove listings you no longer want to show. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us and we will handle the request.
